The triple point (−56.6 °C, 5.11 atm) is where all three phases of CO₂ coexist at once. Beyond the critical point (31.1 °C, 72.8 atm) the liquid/gas boundary disappears — a supercritical fluid forms, used for decaffeinating coffee and solvent-free dry cleaning.
