Drag on the canvas in Draw mode to paint a 3D relief stroke — slower drags read as more pressure and bulge higher off the surface. Switch to Orbit to rotate/zoom and inspect the relief from any angle. Wet strokes sag under gravity until they dry; raise viscosity to make thicker paint that resists sagging.

How the physics works

Each stroke is sampled as a chain of 3D points along the canvas plane, offset outward by a pressure-scaled "impasto" height and rendered as a tube along a Catmull-Rom curve through those points — genuine extruded 3D geometry, not a flat decal.

While a stroke is still "wet" its points integrate a simple downward velocity each frame (gravity slider), damped by a viscosity/friction factor that resists motion — higher viscosity keeps thick paint from sagging, low viscosity plus high gravity produces visible drips before the stroke dries and freezes.

Thickness — tube radius of new strokes.
Relief height — how far paint bulges off the canvas surface, scaled by drag speed (pressure).
Gravity — downward acceleration applied to wet paint.
Viscosity — damping resistance to that sag; also slows how fast a stroke dries.
