Wave height (eikonal + Green's Law)
Epicenter / coast marker
Seamount (refracts the front)
This 2D companion replaces the 3D original's slider-driven ocean-surface animation with the actual method tsunami warning centers use: a Fast Sweeping eikonal solver computes a real travel-time field from local wave speed c=√(g·h) across a bathymetry map, and Green's Law sets how the leading pulse amplifies as it shoals. A fixed seamount bends the wavefront visibly as it passes, and the side panel exposes bottom shift, epicenter distance, deep-ocean depth and shelf width — every one of them rebuilds the depth field and re-solves the travel-time grid live, and the ETA readout is read straight out of that solve rather than scripted.
