Nanoassemblers 2D (flat vat)

Same model as the 3D version in a thin layer: foragers capture feedstock, assemble a copy after a fixed time, mutate speed with a metabolic cost (decay grows with speed squared) and release waste heat (Freitas 2000); above 330 K assemblers fail.
