Vacuum (g only)
With air resistance
This 2D lab drops an object down a vertical shaft and races a drag-free vacuum fall against a real air-resistance fall side by side. Set the drop height, mass and cross-sectional area, then hit Drop: the vacuum marker always follows the exact kinematic equations v = g·t and h = ½·g·t², while the air-resistance marker integrates a quadratic drag force step by step and asymptotically approaches its computed terminal velocity vterm = √(2mg / (ρ·Cd·A)). Watch how raising the mass or shrinking the area lets the object keep accelerating almost as if there were no air at all, while a light, wide object quickly levels off at a low, safe landing speed.
