Flame Wax / drips Wick & char

Candle Flame & Wick Char (2D)

This 2D simulator drives the candle flame with a procedural convective-airflow noise field instead of a single wind number, so the flame's sway, height and stability all emerge from turbulence sampled independently at several heights along its body. The wick's carbonized tip is modeled explicitly: it lengthens ("chars") the longer the candle burns unattended, lifting and destabilizing the flame until you trim it back. Melting is asymmetric β€” the rim melts faster on whichever side the flame has been leaning toward, so drips form on the leeward side rather than a random timer. Adjust airflow intensity and wax hardness, send a one-off gust, trim the wick, relight after a blowout, or start a fresh candle.
