Closed loop: neural interface adjusts tDCS to hold the target rate rTMS train at the rate above

Drag the red (+) and blue (-) electrode pads or the TMS coil over the scalp, and the green target patch over the cortex. Fidelity = running correlation between the target population's spike counts and a weak, subthreshold task signal. Current density above about 0.06 mA/cm2 on a 25 cm2 pad is outside common tDCS practice.

Model: leaky integrate-and-fire network (tau 20 ms) with a homogeneous-conductor E-field (sigma 0.33 S/m). The coupling default is amplified above the measured ~0.2 mV per V/m (Radman et al., 2009) so a small network shows effects; results are illustrative, not clinical.
