Prayer Flags
A string of 22 traditional prayer flags flutters along a sagging rope between two poles against a Himalayan mountain backdrop. Each flag's cloth mesh is deformed per-vertex with layered sine waves whose amplitude grows toward the free edge, driven by a slowly oscillating wind function, so the fabric ripples convincingly without any physics engine.
- 22 flags on a plane geometry with 10x6 subdivided vertices
- Per-vertex wave displacement scaled by distance from the rope edge
- Wind strength follows a layered sine "gust" function over time
- Catenary-curved rope line connects two wooden poles
- Cone-geometry snow-capped mountains form the backdrop
