Nanocoating Turbine Drag Reduction

This simulator models the mechanism behind nanotech-enhanced hydropower: a superhydrophobic nanocoating on a penstock or turbine wall introduces a Navier slip length that thins the boundary layer and lowers wall shear stress, which in turn reduces skin-friction drag and lets the turbine spin faster for the same flow. Adjust the flow velocity, the coating's slip length, and a fouling/corrosion level that erodes the nanotexture over time, and watch the boundary-layer particle band thin or thicken in real time while wall shear stress, drag reduction, turbine RPM, and net power are computed from a live first-order rotational model, not a canned animation.
