Phosphite Nanoparticle Antioxidants: Hydroperoxide Scavenging Simulator

Metal and organic phosphite nanoparticles are dispersed through polymers as secondary antioxidants: instead of trapping free radicals directly, each P(III) site reduces a hydroperoxide (ROOH) molecule to a stable alcohol non-radically, being oxidized itself to phosphate (P(V)) in the process. This simulator renders that competition in 3D — a polymer matrix seeded with a chosen loading of phosphite nanoparticles, each carrying a finite turnover capacity, against a Bolland–Gee-style autoxidation chain that continuously branches hydroperoxide into new radicals under thermal/UV stress. Tune the nanoparticle loading, per-particle capacity, stress level and substrate susceptibility, and watch the induction period hold — then collapse once the phosphite sites are spent and the radical population runs away.
