Rather than the thermodynamic self-assembly used by most nanofabrication demos, this simulator models positional mechanosynthesis — the mechanism behind the original "molecular assembler" proposal: a rigid manipulator tip that picks up one feedstock atom at a time and places it directly at a target lattice site, forming a bond only when the placement error lands inside a Gaussian acceptance window. Tune tip rigidity and feedstock temperature to see how mechanical and thermal noise trade off against build yield, switch between a diamondoid and a simple-cubic target lattice, and watch live success-rate and per-attempt bond-probability readouts as the structure grows atom by atom.
