Magnetic Nanobiocatalyst Reactor 2D: Biodiesel Kinetics & Recovery Map

Free lipase enzyme dissolved in an oil/methanol mix works fast but is thrown away with every batch. Anchor that same enzyme onto magnetic iron-oxide nanoparticles instead, and a nanoscale surface area boost keeps the reaction fast — while a magnet on the reactor wall pulls the whole nanocatalyst out afterward for reuse. This 2D top-down simulator solves the identical Arrhenius/Michaelis-Menten reaction kinetics as the 3D reactor: triglyceride oil droplets convert into biodiesel (FAME) and glycerol on contact with enzyme-coated nanoparticles, temperature and stirring rate govern reaction kinetics, and toggling the magnetic field visibly drags the ferromagnetic nanocatalyst to one wall for recovery. A live history chart tracks yield and reaction rate cycle over cycle, and the reactor view supports drag-to-pan and scroll-to-zoom so you can watch individual particles collect at the magnet.
