A hydrothermal vent chimney rendered as a real 3D scene: chemosynthetic microbes colonize its surface, drawing energy from reduced chemicals in the rising fluid plume, and nucleate rare-earth-element phosphate crystals as they grow. The colonization spread follows logistic growth driven by metabolic energy flux, and each colonized site accumulates REE mass through Langmuir-type saturation kinetics gated by a pH-dependent efficiency curve. Tune the vent fluid's REE concentration, pH and energy flux and watch the biofilm creep across the chimney and crystals nucleate and grow, with live readouts of surface coverage, crystal count, accumulated REE mass and instantaneous uptake rate.
