Genetic Circuit Simulator

Synthetic biology treats living cells as programmable hardware: standardized biological parts — promoters, ribosome binding sites, repressor genes — are wired together like a circuit to produce a designed behaviour. This simulator visualizes the repressilator, the field's founding example: three genes locked in a repression ring that can never settle, so the colony pulses rhythmically forever. Each bacterium in the dish runs its own copy of the circuit with a GFP reporter fused to gene A, and a quorum-sensing coupling term lets neighbouring cells nudge each other into sync — watch a disordered colony lock into a single synchronized pulse as you raise the coupling strength.
