Firefly Luciferase Flash Kinetics: Product Inhibition

This simulator models the real enzyme kinetics behind firefly bioluminescence and the ATP luminescence assays built on it. Luciferin, ATP and oxygen react at luciferase active sites to emit light, and as oxyluciferin and pyrophosphate accumulate they competitively inhibit the enzyme — raising the apparent Michaelis constant and driving the classic rise-then-decay "flash" instead of a steady glow. Adjust the ATP dose, enzyme level, inhibition strength (Ki) and temperature, inject the reaction, and watch substrate particles convert to product around glowing enzyme sites while a live chart traces light intensity over time.
