3D RNA Interference: RISC–mRNA Cleavage

This molecular-scale 3D view puts a guide-loaded RISC/Argonaute complex at the center of the scene and sends mRNA strands — chains of individually rendered nucleotide beads — drifting through its scan zone. Each strand is tested against the guide strand's complementarity; a strong match gets physically cleaved into two halves that drift apart, a weaker match gets stalled in place as translation is repressed, and a poor match slips through untouched. Orbit the camera around the complex and tune guide–target complementarity, Argonaute slicer activity and mRNA transcription rate to see how the cleave/repress balance shifts.
