Target mRNA
RISC (siRNA·AGO2)
Cleaved fragment
Mean-field M(t)
A 2D-native counterpart to the 3D RISC Slicer: RISC/AGO2 and mRNA random-walk on a disk-shaped cytoplasm cross-section and react via 2D collision theory (a linear cross-section rather than the 3D version's cross-sectional area), while a coupled mean-field ODE pair — driven by the same seed-mismatch statistics — is integrated live and plotted alongside the raw particle count so you can watch a well-mixed chemical-kinetics approximation track (or fail to track) a genuinely stochastic, spatial simulation. Unlike the 3D version, natural mRNA turnover is implemented as a real per-particle decay rather than only appearing in a displayed formula.
