SCN Phase Circle & Synchrogram (2D)

This 2D companion to the SCN Neuron Synchronization simulator strips away the anatomical rendering and shows the exact same Kuramoto coupled-oscillator system through the two views the mathematics itself is written in: every neuron's phase θi plotted as a point on the unit circle it lives on, with the population's own complex order parameter drawn as a vector from the center; and a scrolling raster of every sampled neuron's phase across time, the actogram-style readout circadian biologists actually use. Coupling strength K, period spread σ and simulated speed drive the identical mean-field update rule as the 3D scene, so a light pulse still sharpens the cluster toward subjective dawn and a lesion scramble still resets it to incoherence — just visualized as pure phase-space geometry instead of a rotating cloud of cells.
