Plasmid Segregational Instability — Mean-Field & Drift (2D)

The same fermentation-stability problem as the 3D bioreactor, seen through a different lens: instead of tracking hundreds of individual cells, this version integrates the population's producer fraction F(t) as a continuous Wright–Fisher diffusion — a mean-field ODE for the deterministic push-and-pull between selection, burden and segregation loss, plus an optional stochastic drift term whose strength depends on effective population size. A live colony grid, a draggable phase portrait of the underlying dynamical system, and a scrolling generation history make the same burden/loss/selection tradeoffs visible from the population-genetics side rather than the individual-cell side.
