Screening every 12 mo · sensitivity 40%
This simulation illustrates the concept of preventative healthcare and its role in maintaining wellness. A cohort of 260 simulated people each carry a small monthly chance of developing a slow, silent condition; without intervention it grows until it becomes symptomatic and is caught late. Adjusting the screening interval, test sensitivity and population risk level shows, mechanically, how proactive periodic screening intercepts more cases while they are still small — raising the early-detection rate, improving recovery odds, and lifting the cohort's overall health index compared to relying on symptoms alone.
