Laparoscopic Fulcrum Effect Simulator

In minimally invasive surgery, every instrument passes through a trocar fixed in the abdominal wall, turning the tool into a rigid lever pivoting about a single point. This simulator renders that fulcrum in 3D: tilt the surgeon's hand and watch the shaft pivot about the trocar while the tip swings in a mirrored arc on the opposite side, scaled by the ratio of internal to external working length. Change the insertion depth to shift that ratio from an attenuated, precise tip response to an amplified one where small hand tremor becomes a large tip excursion — the exact motor-control challenge laparoscopic trainees have to unlearn from open surgery.
