A biodegradable implant scaffold has to hand off structural support to the body's own new tissue at just the right pace. This simulation tracks two independent strength curves over simulated healing weeks — the scaffold's mechanical strength declining as it dissolves, and the new tissue's own strength rising as it grows to fill the scaffold — and sums them against a required load-bearing threshold. Drag the degradation-rate slider (or use the preset buttons) to see both failure modes: degrade too fast and the combined strength dips below the safe threshold before tissue has caught up; degrade too slow and scaffold material lingers long after tissue alone would already have been strong enough, blocking full integration.
