Blue = AR-driven cells · Orange = resistant clone
Prostate-cancer cells depend on androgen-receptor signalling driven by circulating testosterone, so androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) — a GnRH agonist or antagonist — starves the tumor of its growth signal. This simulator models a 3D cluster of androgen-dependent tumor cells that regress once testosterone is suppressed, alongside a rare androgen-independent subclone that keeps dividing regardless of hormone level. Choose an agonist (with its characteristic testosterone flare) or an antagonist, dial in suppression strength and regimen (continuous vs. intermittent), seed the starting resistant-clone fraction, and watch PSA fall — then, as the resistant population is selected for and takes over the tumor, climb again into castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC).
