Autonomous Robotic Catheter Navigation

A magnetically-steered catheter tip advances through a branching 3D vascular tree toward a chosen lesion, exactly as a real robotic navigation system would target it. The autopilot always picks the correct branch sequence — what you control is how precisely the external field holds the tip on the vessel centerline against pulsatile blood-flow turbulence, modelled as a genuine spring–damper equation of motion. Push the steering gain too low, or the turbulence too high, and the tip drifts into the vessel wall at every bifurcation; tune the field strength, insertion speed and turbulence to reach the target lesion with zero wall contact — the "perfect", atraumatic delivery this kind of system is built to achieve.
