Diet Therapy: Meal Composition & Postprandial Glucose Simulator

This simulator turns diet-therapy planning into a hands-on experiment: assemble a meal from carbohydrate grams, glycemic index, and combined fat/protein content, optionally pair it with an insulin bolus, and watch a simplified two-compartment glucose-insulin model animate the resulting blood-glucose curve minute by minute in 3D. A rotating plate shows the three macronutrient mounds sized to your inputs, while a growing glucose trace — checkpointed by color-coded markers every ten simulated minutes — reveals how glycemic index shapes the height and speed of the spike, how fat and protein blunt and delay it, and how an insulin bolus pulls glucose back toward the target range. Live readouts track the current and peak glucose plus the percentage of time spent in the clinically meaningful 70–180 mg/dL band, giving a concrete, mechanistic feel for the reasoning behind real diet-therapy meal planning.
