Antifungal Membrane Attack Simulator

Fungal cell membranes depend on ergosterol for stability, and the two major antifungal drug classes exploit that dependence in different ways. This simulator renders a 3D fungal cell whose membrane is built from thousands of phospholipid and ergosterol sites, then lets you dose it with a polyene (direct pore-forming, fungicidal) or an azole (ergosterol-synthesis-blocking, fungistatic) at a chosen concentration. A Hill-equation pharmacodynamic model drives every visible change — pore formation and K⁺ ion leakage for polyenes, gradual ergosterol depletion and membrane softening for azoles — with live readouts for membrane integrity, ergosterol content, cumulative ion leakage and the underlying drug-effect value.
