Biomarker Discovery Simulator

Biomarker discovery turns a molecular signal — a protein, hormone or metabolite whose level rises or falls with disease — into a measurement clinicians can trust. This simulator visualizes that measurement directly: a stream of biomarker molecules flows through a microfluidic channel and passes over an antibody-coated sensor array, where some bind and stay while the rest continue downstream. The fraction of occupied binding sites is exactly what a real diagnostic assay reads out as signal, and it follows the same Langmuir binding curve used in ELISA, lateral-flow and biosensor chip design: signal rises with concentration, then saturates once every antibody site is occupied. Adjust sample concentration, assay sensitivity, flow speed and background noise to see how each pulls the measured signal away from the true biomarker level — and how that gap decides whether a diagnostic call comes back positive or negative.
