Leverage & Cook's Distance: One Point vs a Regression Line

Not every data point has equal say over a regression line. This simulator builds a small scatter dataset, fits an ordinary least-squares line through it, and lets you drag one flagged point along two independent axes: how far it sits from the mean predictor (its leverage) and how far it sits from the trend (its residual). Live readouts compute the point's leverage hii, its Cook's distance, and how much the slope and R² of the fit shift because of it — the same influence diagnostics a statistician runs before trusting a regression on real, messy data.
