KdV Two-Soliton Collision

This simulator renders the exact two-soliton solution of the Korteweg–de Vries equation — the same nonlinear PDE that governs shallow-water solitary waves — as a live 3D bar field. A tall, fast soliton and a short, slow one are placed side by side and evolved forward using Hirota's closed-form bilinear formula, so the collision is mathematically exact rather than approximated by a numerical solver. Adjust each soliton's wavenumber and starting separation, watch the live speed and amplitude readouts, and see for yourself that solitons pass through one another unchanged in shape — the defining signature of an integrable system.
