3D Crystal Lattice Deformation Simulator

This is a real 3D cubic lattice — instanced atom spheres connected by axial and face-diagonal spring bonds — pulled or compressed by displacing its right face while the left face stays fixed. A mass-spring physics solver relaxes all three dimensions toward equilibrium every frame, so elastic stretching, dislocation-like plastic slip and eventual fracture all emerge from the 3D bond network itself, exactly like the 2D version but with an extra spatial dimension of bonds resisting shear and bending. Orbit the camera to watch the crystal deform from any angle, and use the same material presets and live stress-strain plot to compare a ductile metal's gradual yield against a brittle ceramic's sudden snap.
