Sheet Metal Springback: V-Die Bending Simulator

Every stamped or press-brake-formed part bends further than it stays. This simulator models a single V-die bending operation on a metal strip: choose a material, sheet thickness, die radius and die bend angle, then watch the punch press the blank down to the die shape and retract, letting the part elastically relax to its final free shape. The final radius and bend angle are computed live from Gardiner's springback equation, the same first-pass formula press-shop tooling engineers use to over-bend a die so the released part lands on the target angle — a core, practical problem in sheet metal stamping.
