Recycled Aggregate Concrete Simulator

Crushed demolition concrete can replace some of the virgin gravel in a fresh concrete mix, but every recycled particle drags along a shell of old, porous mortar that weakens the new mix and soaks up more water. This simulator builds a 3D test cylinder whose coarse aggregate is a real mix of grey virgin stone and brown recycled aggregate, tunes the water-cement ratio and curing age, and predicts 28-day-equivalent compressive strength from an Abrams'-law baseline combined with an empirical RCA strength-reduction factor and an ACI 209 curing-gain curve. Press Run Compression Test to ramp a virtual hydraulic press on the specimen — the load increases in real time until it reaches the predicted strength and the specimen visibly cracks, exactly like a real cylinder break test, while live readouts track predicted strength, applied stress, water absorption and the CO₂ saved per cubic metre by displacing quarried aggregate.
