Gecko toe pads adhere and release using pure geometry: the shaft angle at which each seta is loaded determines whether its spatula tips stay shear-locked to a surface by van der Waals forces or peel free almost effortlessly. This simulation renders an instanced array of setae under a peeling backing film and drives the peel front with Kendall's classic peel equation, F/b = Γ/(1 − cos θ), the same energy balance that governs biomimetic gecko adhesives like Geckskin. Drag the peel angle shallow and the array locks on with rapidly rising force; swing it toward vertical and the same array releases for a fraction of the effort — watch the live per-width force, total pad force and percentage of engaged setae track the switch in real time.
