Biomaterial Scaffold Simulator

Biomaterials engineered for tissue regeneration must do two things at once: hold a porous 3D shape long enough for living cells to move in and build new tissue, then disappear at roughly the same pace those cells take over. This simulator visualizes a biodegradable scaffold as a lattice of struts at a chosen porosity, then runs a first-order hydrolytic degradation curve against a logistic cell-colonization curve, both on a simulated weekly clock. Switch between PLA, collagen and ceramic presets, or hand-tune porosity, degradation rate and cell growth rate, to see how scaffold design either supports healthy tissue regeneration or fails by dissolving too fast, too slow, or leaving too little room for cells to grow.
