Spin Valve GMR: Resistance vs. Field Hysteresis (2D)

This 2D companion strips the 3D spin-valve stack down to the physics that actually drives a hard-drive read head: a pinned/spacer/free ferromagnetic trilayer rendered as a flat cross-section with electrons flowing through it, a two-current (Mott) resistance model computing spin-up and spin-down channel resistances from each layer's magnetization angle, and — the piece the 3D scene never plotted — a live resistance-vs-applied-field curve that traces out the rectangular GMR hysteresis loop as the free layer's magnetization flips at its coercive field while the pinned layer stays fixed.
