Clean sand grain
Dirty / coated grain
Iron-oxide fines
Water current
This 2D companion swaps the 3D scene for a transparent side view of the same wet-processing plant: individual quartz grains, each carrying its own random clay and iron-oxide load, pass through a rotating attrition scrubber that abrades their coatings, then fall into a hydraulic classifier where an adjustable upward water current separates clean, heavy sand (which sinks to the product underflow) from the fine impurities it knocked loose (which are too light to out-settle the current and are swept to the overflow waste launder). SiO₂ purity, Fe₂O₃ content and sand yield in the side panel are the live measured average of grains that have actually finished the run, not a canned formula.
