Nanofiller Network Load-Sharing — a 2D Shear-Lag Array

When one nanofiller in a polymer composite locally debonds or cracks, the load it was carrying doesn't disappear — the surrounding matrix redirects it into the neighboring fillers through shear, exactly at the point of failure, and that redistribution then diffuses back to the undisturbed far-field stress as you move along the filler's length. This simulator solves that discrete, laterally-coupled shear-lag network exactly (via eigendecomposition of the array's coupling matrix, not iterative approximation) and renders the resulting 2D stress field as a live heatmap: array width, matrix shear coupling, defect severity and load-sharing spread all reshape how sharply — and how far — the stress concentration around a local defect spreads through the surrounding nanofiller network.
