Supercontinuum Generation — Spectral-Temporal Waterfall (2D)

This is a 2D-native counterpart to the 3D photonic-crystal-fiber supercontinuum simulator. It solves the same generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation with an independent split-step Fourier implementation, but instead of an instantaneous 3D bar chart it renders the whole propagation history as two stacked waterfall density maps — time-domain intensity above, spectral intensity below, distance ξ running down the vertical axis. Soliton fission and supercontinuum spectral broadening appear directly as the shape of the 2D field itself, the standard way these results are plotted in the nonlinear-fiber-optics literature.
