2D Bismuth Refining Simulation

Crude bismuth pulled from a lead smelter's drosses is nowhere near pure enough to sell — arsenic, antimony, tin, lead and zinc all ride along in solution and each needs its own separation trick to come out. This 2D canvas simulator draws a cross-section of the refining kettle and animates that sequence directly: colored atoms representing each dissolved element drift through the melt, oxidize and float off as slag when air is blown through during oxidative refining, precipitate as chlorides during chlorination, solidify into settling crystals of pure bismuth as the melt is cooled slowly past its melting point during liquation, and finally boil away under vacuum during the last distillation pass. Toggle the process on, watch the stage cycle automatically, and use the stage-specific action button and process-rate slider to see how aggressively pushing each separation step trades batch speed against how close the output gets to 99.99% "Bismuth 9999" purity.
