Auxetic Honeycomb: Tension-Driven Rib Network (2D)

A 2D counterpart of the re-entrant honeycomb auxetic metamaterial simulator. Instead of parametrically flattening a 3D lattice at a chosen angle, this version treats the lattice's single true mechanism angle θ as a generalized coordinate driven by a damped equation of motion under an actually applied tensile strain, and integrates it forward in time to a settled equilibrium — the same way a real specimen relaxes onto a new shape after a load is applied. The rib angle and Poisson's ratio you read off are the outcome of that time-domain relaxation, not inputs to a formula.
