🕯️ Beeswax Rendering: From Cappings to Clean, Sellable Wax

Raw wax cappings pile up inside a nested double-boiler pot, melt into a molten pool, and trickle out through a spout, a filter cloth and finally into a collecting jar — while heat, water-bath safety and filter fineness decide whether the batch comes out golden and clear or scorched and gritty.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Melt rate and scorch risk both scale with heat power, but a water bath caps the wax's temperature near water's boiling point, while direct heat has no ceiling. Filter fineness trades flow speed for how much floating debris reaches the jar.

🎮 How to Use

Raise heat power to melt the cappings pile faster, toggle the water bath on and off to see the temperature ceiling change, pick a filter cloth, and watch the melted-percent, temperature, batch status and jar clarity stats update live.

💡 Did You Know?

Because cappings wax has never held brood, it renders down almost white-gold and needs only a light strain — while dark old brood comb often needs two or three rendering passes before it's clean enough to sell.
