Real IoT deployments rarely rely on a single sensor-to-gateway link — they scatter dozens of nodes across a space and let them relay for each other, hop by hop, toward one gateway. This 3D simulator scatters sensor nodes through a volume around a central gateway and routes packets greedily toward it: each hop picks whichever in-range neighbor is closest to the destination. Every relay drains that node's battery, so heavily-used nodes eventually go offline and the mesh has to reroute around the hole it leaves — a self-healing behaviour a flat 2D link diagram can't show. Tune node count, radio range and packet rate, and toggle battery drain to watch the network's topology evolve in real time.
