G6PD Deficiency Drug-Induced Hemolysis Simulator (2D)

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency is the most common human enzyme deficiency, and the textbook example of why drug dosing must be personalized to a patient's genotype. This 2D canvas simulator renders a pannable population of red blood cells in a cross-section of a vessel, each tracking its own reduced-glutathione reserve as an oxidative drug challenge is applied, alongside a live strip chart of hematocrit and mean glutathione. Pick a genotype — normal, one of two deficiency variants of differing severity, or a mosaic heterozygous carrier modeling random X-inactivation — dose the oxidant, and watch glutathione fall, cells change color as they're stressed, and the weakest cells lyse and vanish from circulation while the readouts and trend lines track the crash in real time.
