๐งซ Reaction-Diffusion System
A reaction-diffusion system models how the concentration of one or more substances changes over space and time under the combined effect of local chemical reactions and diffusion. Alan Turing showed in 1952 that such systems can spontaneously generate stable spot and stripe patterns, offering a mathematical explanation for patterns seen on animal coats and skin.
