Theater Lighting Design Simulation

This simulator puts a classic three-point lighting rig — key, fill and back/rim — around a mannequin performer on a virtual stage and lets you drive each instrument's intensity and gel color independently, plus swing the key light around the subject the way a designer would walk a boom arm. Under the hood it applies the same two laws working lighting designers reason with: the inverse-square falloff that sets each light's irradiance at the subject, and additive RGB color mixing (not paint-style subtractive mixing) that combines the gels into the color actually striking the performer. Live readouts track that combined stage color, the total illuminance, and the key:fill contrast ratio that separates a flat, even wash from high-contrast, dramatic staging — and four mood presets show how a few slider moves reshape romance, noir, neutral and drama looks.
