This is the 2D companion to the 3D Forensic Anthropology Simulator. Instead of orbiting a rendered skeleton and letting the scene hand you an exact femur length, you work from a flat lateral diagram and an on-screen osteometric caliper: drag the two jaws until they pinch the femur's proximal and distal ends, and only then is that measured length — with whatever error your placement introduced — plugged into the real Trotter-Gleser stature regression. The same weighted sex-trait scoring (brow ridge, chin, sciatic notch width, gonial angle) and the same epiphyseal-fusion age staging (femoral head, iliac crest, medial clavicle) run underneath, read by clicking the skull, pelvis and clavicle landmarks. Switch between four preset scenarios — an adult male, an adult female, a subadult with unfused growth plates, and a robust adult male — and see how a hastily-placed caliper jaw, not just anatomy, changes the stature estimate.
