Crystal lattice Free ion (drifting) Trapped defect

Crystal Growth Simulation (2D)

This 2D simulator grows a mineral crystal from a single seed the way it happens in nature: free ions drift through a supersaturated fluid and bond onto the crystal face whenever they touch it, building an ever-larger faceted lattice outward from the center. Raise the supersaturation to flood the fluid with more ions and watch growth speed up and branch into dendritic arms, tune the growth rate to control how readily ions actually stick once they arrive, and lower the purity to see foreign atoms get trapped as visible red defects that drag down the crystal's live hardness reading.
