Design and test a genetic circuit built from scratch: two engineered promoters, each repressing the other's gene, wired into a single cell. This simulator runs the real bistable-switch ODEs behind the Gardner–Collins–Cantor toggle switch, rendering the cell as a translucent 3D volume filled with two populations of glowing reporter proteins — red LacI/RFP and green TetR/GFP — whose particle counts track the live concentrations. Fire an IPTG or aTc inducer pulse to flip the circuit between its two stable states, tune promoter strength and repressor cooperativity, and watch the population settle into whichever state now dominates — a genetic memory element, the same kind of switch used in engineered biosensors and biofuel-production strains.
