CRISPR Gene Therapy (2D)

This flattened companion to the 3D CRISPR gene therapy simulator draws the same guide-RNA/Cas9 search process as a straight, scrolling DNA ladder: a marker slides along two backbone rails, dwelling at candidate PAM sites and occasionally at nearby decoy sequences. Guide-RNA specificity sets the odds of an on-target versus off-target edit exactly as in the 3D version, and the chosen editing mode — Cas9 cut, base edit or prime edit — changes how a successful on-target edit is rendered on the strand.
