Lateral thinking works by deliberately breaking the direct, obvious path between a problem and its solution. This simulator gives that process a concrete mechanism: a 3D semantic network where a random "lateral entry" concept injects activation energy that spreads, decays and reinforces itself across weighted associative edges — including long-range links that jump across the idea space — until enough of it reaches the problem node to register as a genuine insight. Adjust the decay and threshold to see how easily fixation breaks versus how much cross-pollination a real creative leap actually needs.
